As you can see, I most definitely haven't got bored of studs since last week, and yet again, they are well and truly dominating my Wishlist! These have turned out to be a huge trend this summer and are set to continue into the Autumn, which frankly, is fine by me. They can continue forever if they want.
I've also gone a bit blush-mad this week, with Nars Deep Throat, Stila Convertible Colour and Rose De Rose by Terry all making an appearance. The Stila one is actually designed for both cheeks and lips, while Rose De Rose is a liquid blush which has a buildable satin finish. It's sheer, and can be used all over the face in spite of the colour it looks in the bottle. Actually, the one I want is called Amber Rose, which is a peachy-bronze nude, but I could only get an image of this pink shade, which is called Fresh Rose.
Yet again, Miss Selfridge have got some gorgeous printed blouses in and I was pleased to see that they had my favourite one in Petite.

I haven't been up to much this weekend so far. My other half's family might be coming for lunch tomorrow, and we really want to have a barbecue in the garden, but really, I can't see the weather cooperating! My spending ban has gone really well this week and I haven't bought anything I don't need, but I am worried that the money I have been squirreling away instead of going shopping is now going to have to be spent on fixing the car! I really hope not. Will have to wait and see what happens on Monday when we take it to be looked at.

What's on your wishlist this week?
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

What I'm Wearing Today

Leopard Print Top, Topshop
Black Faux Leather/ Wet-look Shorts, River Island
Cardigan, Topshop
Tights, Primark
Cat Pendant, Primark
Earrings, Vintage
Bow Headband, Primark
Sunglasses, Primark.
Boots, New Look

Lipstick: Mac Vegas Volt

Actually, this is what I wore yesterday, but I didn't have a chance to post it! The weather has been a bit rubbish, so I had to resort to a cardigan-and-tights combo, rather than risk it in bare legs, though the sun did show it's little face at one point, prompting me to get my sunglasses out. Any excuse!
I was just going for lunch with my other half and his family, so I fancied a casual, relaxed look.
I'm wearing my favourite boots here too, they are a bit battered and showing their age, but I just can't bring myself to get rid of them as they go with everything and I love the stud detailing. But recently, I took them to be re-heeled, and the man who did it (he's independent) really made a mess of them! He even thought he'd give them a bit of a polish for me - shame the colour he shoes was an orangey-brown and didn't match the colour of the boots at all! Lesson learned, won't be going to him again!

I haven't really got much planned this weekend so I think we will just be chilling at home again. The spending ban continues, so that means shopping is off limits! :( As I mentioned in my last post though, I haven't completely stuck to it, and I've got some Benefit, Revlon and Maybelline goodies I shall be reviewing for you very soon.

My in-laws have literally fed me SO much cake over the past couple of days! I did go for a good run in the park yesterday evening, but that far from makes up for the volume of sugar I have ingested! I think I should invest my free time today and tomorrow in exercise as I feel a bit lethargic and gross because of it.....it was good cake though!

I was really looking forward to a couple of days away with the hubby next week, as we haven't had some decent 'us time' for ages, but right on cue, Friday the 13th and the car starts making funny noises on the way back from his parents' house.
Not. Impressed.
Seriously, our car always seems to throw a spanner in the works when we are planning to go somewhere! Anyway, fingers crossed that it's nothing serious and we can get it sorted - cheaply - before then.
:)

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Friday Finds

How ridiculously cute are these little treats from thebeautboutique on Etsy?
I came across them by chance after their creator, Ruthy (@beautboutique) retweeted me on Twitter and I ended up having a little look at her shop to see what she was selling.

All these pieces are so kitsch and original, and I absolutely love them, especially the little teacup necklace at the top.  All of Ruthy's pieces are really affordable, ranging from about £2.75 to £7.50 (sorry I'm not being exact, but the prices were showing up in dollars so I had to convert them) and what I thought was even lovelier about her store was how gorgeous her stock photos are! They are so well thought out. And everything is made by hand!
If you haven't checked out Ruthy's store yet then I strongly suggest you do so, as there are many more items to choose from, including jammy dodger earrings, cameo jewellery and Alice in Wonderland inspired pieces. To go directly to her store, you can click on the link at the top of the page.

Thank goodness it's Friday!
What have you all got planned for the weekend?

Little Catch-up

Hi lovelies, as I think I mentioned in my last post, I'm away at the moment, but I didn't want to leave my little blog unattended, so I thought I would post from my phone for the first time and show you a few photos from my week so far (so if it all looks a bit higgledy piggledy then that is why!) I was planning to save them all up for the end of the week, but I don't see the harm on mixing things up a but and doing it mid-week for a change.
I've been so healthy of late, but we are currently visiting yet more of my other half's family, and all they do is feed me cake! Seriously, they do not stop, and whenever I finish eating my lunch, they insist that I have more, and look really disappointed when I decline! It has been nice to relax a but and not have to cook though!
Anyway, the photos. There is cake, obviously. Then there is the outfit I wore yesterday, and the Benefit goodies I got this week. I'll leave it there for now, proper posting will resume tomorrow!

Day to Day Makeup: New Favourites

Makeup:
Benefit Erase Paste Concealer in Shade 02
Revlon Photoready Makeup in Shade 008 Golden Beige
Benefit Dallas (contour)
Benefit Coralista Blush
L'oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara
Random brown eyeliner I picked up in Brazil (sorry, I'm not sure of the brand as the writing has rubbed off!)
Mac Amplified Creme Lipstick in Vegas Volt

Hi lovelies, sorry about the lack of post yesterday. My internet, surprise surprise, has been misbehaving again!

I thought I'd share a little 'Face of the Day' post with you today, as I have got my hands on some new make-up goodies in the past week or so, and am pleased to bits with the results!
Now, let me just say first that for some reason, I am really unphotogenic. I don't know why, but it is just near on impossible to get a good, natural looking shot of me! I always either end up looking drunk or drained, no matter how much make-up I've got on!
So that brings me onto my first product success, which is Revlon Photoready Liquid Foundation. Now, I know this has been around for a while, but I hadn't tried it before as I usually tend to stick to my higher-end foundations, having had little success with pharmacy/drugstore offerings in the past. But I was running a little bit low on funds, and had heard good things about it, so I decided to give it a whirl. Well, as you can see, it doesn't exactly remedy the drunk-eye effect in the photo, but it DOES make my skin look a zillion times better and much more glowy than if I was wearing something different! I'm actually going to do a full review on this later in the week, so I won't harp on about it too much now, but I thought it deserved a mention as I really am rather pleased with it!
I also got my paws on Benefit face powders Coralista, Dallas and Hoola this week, in sample sizes, which I'm really excited about as I have wanted them for ages. Well, so far, they certainly haven't disappointed, and I've been really enjoying using Dallas and Coralista together. Again, they have given me a really healthy glow, and I think Coralista might turn out to be my new favourite blush!
This is just a simple make-up look, as you can see. No eyeshadow or elaborate eye makeup. I like to wear this look on a day to day basis, and save more dramatic looks for night time.
Excuse my slight frizz-head and disobedient fringe in the pic!

Anyway, hope everyone is really well and having a lovely week!

Last Week in Pictures

1. Sunset on the river
2. Cute cupcake money box
3. Pretty flowers at the garden centre
4. Vintage suitcases
5. Healthy breakfast! Porridge, chia, linseed and raisins.
6. A goat and her baby :)
7. Antique owls
8. Hubby Instagramming
9. Sunset on the way back from a road trip

Not a very rock and roll week for me last week!
I'm off work at the moment as I've got some holiday, but unfortunately won't be doing anything particularly exciting as funds are running a bit low! Well, actually, it's not really that, it's just that I've got to save as much as I can for a trip at the end of the year. Note the lack of shopping-related photos!
On Wednesday, we went on a little road trip, not to anywhere in particular, just to explore the nearby countryside. We also went to stay with the other half's family for a couple of days and, er, climbed a mountain...pics of that to come soon! Other than that, I feel like I've just had a really chilled week, although I have, of course, been doing a little bit of exercise each day, as I did promise myself I would. Go me!

How was your week?
Did you do anything exciting?

8. Point Collar Necklace, £16.50

Dear Topshop,
Just stop it, will you? Everything I want this week is from your New In section. And I want everything from your New In section this week!
STOP with all the gorgeous stud detailing and beautiful collar necklaces. I already have far too many of your embellished denim shorts on my wishlist, and now this. And as for those gorgeous bags, will you just look what you have done to me? Not one, but TWO on my list. Make it stop, I beg of you.

Hello everyone, I hope you've had a lovely weekend!
In case you haven't guessed, yes, everything on this week's Wishlist is, indeed, from Topshop! I don't know what it is with them at the moment, they seem to go through stages where there is not much I would buy (since they boosted their prices quite substantially!) and others where I literally do want everything. Now is definitely the latter. I have always loved Topshop, but they've got so expensive lately, so I try to avoid shopping there for the most part, though I used to get most of my wardrobe from there in the past! I know I've mentioned my love of all things studded on here before, and when I clicked on the 'New In' butoon this week, I was greeted with an abundance of absolute must-have studded pieces that just had to be on this list!
I really want to wear the grey jumper with the studded shorts and black studded bag, though I think it might be stud overkill! The detailing on the sweater is quite subtle though, so I reckon I could get away with it, and maybe throw on the skull scarf for the perfect relaxed weekend look.
I'm sorry Mr. Credit Card, but some of these bits are coming home with me. Deal with it.

What's on your Wishlist this week?

xx
